• 1957 - Won both, the Senior Men's Speed Skating & Senior Dance titles.^[1]
• 1960 - First recipient of the USARS Life Membership Award.
Now called "CHARLES WAHLIG MEMORIAL USARS LIFE MEMBERSHIP AWARD".
"Charles Wahlig's name was affixed to this award after his death in 2007 to commemorate his having been the first recipient of USARS Life Membership in 1960 and in recognition for his long and exceptional service provided to the entire spectrum of roller sports."^[2]
• 1960 - Turned from competing to coaching.^[3]
• 1978 - SRSTA Teacher of the Year.
• 1983 - Hall of Fame, Athlete.^[3]
• Owner of many roller rinks.^[5]
• 1987 - 1994 - President of USARS.^[3]
• 1993 - Hall of Fame, Coach.^[3]
• 1996 - Hall of Fame, Distinguished Service.^[3]
• 2001 - 2002 - USARS Chairman of the Board.^[3]
• 2023 - Delaware Sports Hall of Fame.^[4]
